They want him to be a top 6, if he tops out as a 3rd line center then they probably could have done better at the draft. Not saying he will but it wouldn't shock me if that's exactly where he ended up.

I wouldn't put him ahead of Da Costa right now either if you are talking about Ottawa centers. They need to turn him into a winger or Da Costa into one.

OR trade Spezza, since he's a bum anyways!

Is Chris Kelly who I consider a pretty good 3rd line center capable of laser one-timers or quick backhander tape to tape passes on a breakaway? (I've seen this a couple times in Bingo this year from Zibanejad)
On the other hand, Kelly has a pretty good hockey sense which IMO is better than Zibby's at this point.

They need to develop him into a power forward... it takes time and maturity to be a player like that. He may not be a full time NHLer (at least an effective top 6) until he is 22, 23.

This has nothing to do with the 2013 lineup but I came across a post I made to a friend on Facebook three years ago that said: "Which jersey should i get: Cheechoo, Leclaire, or Kovalev?" Facepalm

All three, then burn them.

Yeah, he might take some time. Regardless of his stats he's been rock solid for Bingo though. Great all round forward developing.

That's hilarious. The only one out of those three I would've considered at the time was Leclaire.

Sens are also way over the floor, in great shape for the forseeable future. Won't be going to a game for a long, long time but cant wait to watch.

Sens should be in good shape with basically everyone having played.

Like Prags said, need another RH D man so sure, why not?

That said, does Ceci have a shot with all the injuries? I'm obviously leaning towards no but with a shortened season and Ceci having played all the way through and being an older OHLer... I won't totally discount it all things considered.

I thought this would happen a few months ago, but I don't like how he's played so far this year, and that's not all his fault obviously...tough to play on that disaster of a team. He hasn't been terrible but I'd keep him in the O on a stacked team (once he gets trade).

I'm wondering if Noesen gets invited to camp. Probably nt.

I agree with the take on Ceci but again, there is a huge hole on the right side, Gonchar is gone after this season and they probably have Ceci somewhat penciled in for next year... if there was ever a year to take a chance on a kid like that in a bottom pairing role this would be it. Maybe they give Gryba a real look?

I think he gets strong consideration if he plays with a vet like Phillips.

Noeson, probably not, there are guys in Bingo who can get a look first.

By all accounts Gryba has been nothing but steady and solid this year and a lot of last. Might be the perfect guy to fill in that right side spot on the bottom pair. Phillip/Gryba could be pretty solid.

You have to believe they are going to carry the full 23 man roster with a 48 game season. No way they take any chances with injuries and the vets having a tough time getting started. Really think this will be Hoffman's chance finally, he's paid his dues and he's probably ready. Same with Grant.

I know I am talking to myself at this point because people need to wake the F*** up but this would be the year to use as many rookies as possible from the AHL. There is an advantage right now and the "we can't have that many rookies" is out the window. Really hope they go that route.

IMO Ballard is also another serious option but again, he hasn't played a lick. Babchuck in Calgary is also another option I would think.
