Blood is an example of a guy when the facemask came off he became a lot less effective. Fake tough guy IMO, fake pro, won't make it.

Perhaps, but this is a big chance for him to play a tough, intimidating brand of hockey or spend a lot of time in Elmira.

Eckford is not even a longshot. Wiercioch and Benoit because of the way they've played; Boro because he's already seen NHL action and certainly brings an edge they are missing since Carkner left; Gryba because he is actually a RHS.

Oh, and let's not forget Lundin will be back, too.

Either way, the main concern is Ottawa and Weircioch and Benoit are the guys right now.

Sure he is...why not? He's been very solid in the AHL. I mean, he's so far behind the other D-men that he likely won't make it, but still, if worse comes to worse he's a fine option.

I would imagine those two yeah, with Boro and Gryba in the wings.

Mac has been to a few games in Bingo. He was there for 2 when I went down in October.

So between Mac, Richardson & Tim Murray they will decide on who is ready..

Bo just came off injury a few games ago... he needs a couple of games to get back into it.

As for Anaheim... I think they will try their best to retain Getzlaf & Perry by having the cap room after they buyout Havlat & Boyle.. That's 11M in cap space right there.

Worse is already at worse; it doesn't need to come further. Eckford hasn't really done anything to single himself out. Boro plays with an edge and is a Kanata boy; Benoit provides veteran leadership and is lighting it up on offense. Wiercioch is a long-term project about to pay off -- nice size, excellent offensive skills. Gryba is a rightie.

The Sens have 4D now and will have 5 a couple of weeks into the season. And I'm still not convinced Cowen is done for the season.

It's not just Boro. They are down 2-0 after 1, having taken 4 penalties and trailing 13-3 in the shot count. You can't take that many penalties.

BTW, Wiercioch with a PPG (on a 4-minute PP) and Prince have tied it up. 2-2 after 2.

Prince is doing fantastic for his first year as a pro. Such a solid pick for the Sens. He has a couple more years in the AHL for sure but he might be a guy that makes it as a top 6.

It will be nice when the let out the schedule.

Hmm, Lehner has passed Barry Brust for the best SV% in the AHL. Brust has been lights out in a tandem role. Kinda the Brian Elliott of the AHL.

I have to agree but it's not just him. there seems to be so many guys in bingo and heading there that look lie they could make it to the NHL. i can't remember being able to stare at our prospect pool and feel like it's pact. we could an elite caliber forward and a blue chip defencemen but we'll have cowen back soon.
