Hmm, Lehner has passed Barry Brust for the best SV% in the AHL. Brust has been lights out in a tandem role. Kinda the Brian Elliott of the AHL.

It's not just Boro. They are down 2-0 after 1, having taken 4 penalties and trailing 13-3 in the shot count. You can't take that many penalties.
BTW, Wiercioch with a PPG (on a 4-minute PP) and Prince have tied it up. 2-2 after 2.
I have to agree but it's not just him. there seems to be so many guys in bingo and heading there that look lie they could make it to the NHL. i can't remember being able to stare at our prospect pool and feel like it's pact. we could an elite caliber forward and a blue chip defencemen but we'll have cowen back soon.NEELY wrote:Prince is doing fantastic for his first year as a pro. Such a solid pick for the Sens. He has a couple more years in the AHL for sure but he might be a guy that makes it as a top 6.
It will be nice when the let out the schedule.
yes i was saying we could USE an elite forward right now. i'm not sure silf is that at all. more likely a very good 2nd liner at best on a stacked team. but the bottom 6 is looking silly. plenty of guys ready to come up on call-ups. that's good depth.NEELY wrote:Yup, the Sens prospect pool looks solid. I don't think there is anything elite there besides maybe Silfverberg but all very solid prospects and a lot of future NHLers. There are about 6 or 7 guys up front that will more than likely be in Ottawa at some point.
The guy that will be on the team at some point in the next year or so that people are always over looking is Grant. That's the Sens new Chris Kelly. That's the guy that will play on the 3rd and 4th lines and be used in a PK role. Wouldn't even be surprised if they carried him along this year as the 13th or 14th forward.

Same thing as if they were injured... replacements...wprager wrote:I wonder what happens to the AHL ASG given how many of the players likely to earn spots are going to be playing in the NHL.

Minds are elsewhere. No way it doesn't creep in whether or not those are the guys that get the call up or not.
LeKid wrote:Not sure how he's feeling these days, but I'd put Regin in the top 6 to start the season until Silfverberg gets on a roll
What about Ceci? Or not ready yet...SpezDispenser wrote:I would imagine those two yeah, with Boro and Gryba in the wings.NEELY wrote:Either way, the main concern is Ottawa and Weircioch and Benoit are the guys right now.
