lots of flip-flopping of opinions indeed

Having a 2nd line of Regin-Turris-Alfie -- does not have a lot of grit on it... I think PM likes grit on every line...
I don't think Regin can be top-six on this team. His cap hit indicates he's a third liner at best. I'm not saying that cap hit is supposed to indicate this, but Murray *just* gave him this contract, so that is his estimation of his worth to the team right now. He would not think twice about signing a 3rd/4th line player for $800K.
I don't think that you're looking at the whole picture. The fact that Regin's been injured so much clearly brought his value down. You can't just say that he was signed for $800K and is therefore a 3/4 liner. Clearly, other factors are involved.
This isn't to say that he's definitely a top-6 player, just that your logic is off.

It wasn't so much logic as it was gut-feel.

Even the second line might be a stretch. I wonder how he'd fit on a third line with Regin and Smith. Might be dangerous. Can Greening or Foligno play the right side? A third line of Foligno-Smith-Greening would be pretty awesome, IMO.

Then that ruins my little lineup and makes yet another bottom 6 guy expendable. If Foligno could learn how to drive the net and not get called all the time, he and Michalek with Spezza could be of use. If not, then....it would be near useless.
Hate to say...but Fat Penner looks great right now.

Neil on the 4th line? Doubt that happens personally.

That lineup makes me think a trade or a pickup is necessary. I can't imagine another season with Greening on the top line. He just doesn't fit.
