The Sedins really aren't Alfie kind of players, though. They have some skill and ESP, but those goatees (I think I semi-accidentally called them gaytees once) have to go.

Yeah, but Lidstrom and Selanne both asked to be left out - so I guess the NHL has softened its stance on it.

The rule is actually.....if you play the last game before the all-star game than you must appear at the all-star game. Seeing as he is suspended for the Caps last game before the all-star weekend, he doesn't need to show up. He won't get suspended for bailing.

This is worse than arguing penalty calls. I wonder if this will affect the Crapitals and or Ovechkin somehow?

Has Ovie not been suspended twice already before? I'd say he got off easy. 5 games for that in my books.
