Gaston Gingras? #29 for the Habs back in the 80s. Won a Cup with them in '86 (that was his second stint with the Habs -- he spent a couple of years with the Leafs then got traded from the Leafs' AHL club to the Habs' one in Sherbrooke, and got called up half way through.

I remember he had a fantastic booming shot but his accuracy was so piss-poor that the joke was, whenever he wound up, go stand in front of the net to be safe.

Yeah that guy, no idea who he was, but he was in the same autograph session as the others.

Sad. Just how bad/incompetent is the management down there? I imagine they could screw up an All Star weekend, too.

I realize the NHL wants to do all they can to salvage the teams they invested in, but it seems like this could be a waste of resources. At least with Ottawa hosting, we are seeing a lot of diversity. Will Columbus be able to draw a lot of fans to an ASG? If they have a hard time selling regular season tickets, how do they expect to sell $600+ seats for an ASG?
