Poor Don Brennan is having a problem telling the players apart since some of them are wearing the same number... oh poor DonB.... he has to actually think and work at the same time...

How true. Although he certainly helped Team Alfie win the skills competition as only two TCs scored on him -- he singlehandedly eliminated quite a few shooters.

But they were tied 6-6 after 40 before he took over in goal, and he gave up 6 in just 20 minutes. Didn't help that the D weren't even trying to stick-check.

Highlight of the weekend had to be Price in nets during the skills comp all mic'd up. He was hilarious.

With the exception of the mini-stick Price (and Elliott as well) were the highlight of the trick-shot competition. When he turned around and made that save by looking at the reflection in the glass I almost applauded. At home.

I seriously want them to eliminate that particular "skill" from the competition. Either that, or actually give them some training on what they could/should be doing. The failure rate is just unacceptably high.

Forgot to mention, that "exploding" puck was a really bad idea. Those pieces are small enough to go right through the goalie's cage. At first I thought he put two pucks together but then I saw the slo-mo replay. Very dangerous, IMO. He could have put a bit of two-sided tape between two pucks -- I'm sure the effect would have been similar.
