The Sens had a bit of a barn burner vs. the Pens at home winning 6-4. Alex Auld gets his first win this season in his second stint with the club. Both Alfie and Spezza have picked up the slack in the absence of Milan Michalek. A team that was supposed to struggle to score seems to be having no troubles even now that they're missing Michalek (leading scorer when he went down with a concussion).

Buffalo comes to town on Tuesday where fans will get to see newly acquired Center Kyle Turris. I definitely won't be expecting much out of him for the rest of this season other than to work hard and buy into the system. Next season is where I'll start judging his progression. This is a big divisional game and will help keep this team alive in the playoff hunt. They need to start stringing some wins together. With the trade of Rundblad and the recent news on the injury front I would expect that we'll see Kuba back which should help tremendously.

OTTAWA (15-14-4)
Goals leader: Milan Michalek (19)
Assists leader: Erik Karlsson (29)
Points leader: Jason Spezza (36)

Buffalo (16-13-3)
Goals leader: Thomas Vanek (17)
Assists leader: Jason Pominville (25)
Points leader: Jason Pominville (35)

Should put up the projected lineup!

Sens should win this game. The Sabres are in a tail spin.

No doubt Turris will slot in a 2C.

And will we have Gonchar back by then? We're down a d-man after trading Rundblad.

Hopefully both Kuba and Gonch are back.

Hmmm... could we see this?

Greening - Spezza - Alfredsson
Foligno - Turris - Neil
Daugavins - Regin - Condra
Butler - Smith - Winchester

Cowen - Phillips
Kuba - Karlsson
Lee - Gonchar

Can Regin play right-wing? I still don't think he's taking faceoffs with regularity due to his injury.

I'd almost prefer:

Greening - Spezza - Alfredsson
Foligno - Turris - Regin
Daugavins - Smith - Neil
Condra - Konopka - Winchester

I haven't seen any evidence that he can play RW. Seems to be C / LW only. I'm not gonna bother guessing what the lines look like.

With MacLean seeming to only grant ice time to those who earn it, I could see Turris starting on the 3rd or 4th line and seeing what kind of jump he has.

Whatever, I'm excited. Always fun to see different players in the lineup.

Yup. Adding a player like this is almost as exciting as the scoreboard announcement.

Heeheehee. What, you don't understand the excitement about the scoreboard? See, now you can go to the game, AND watch it in HD!!! You get the viewing-pleasure that you would have in the basement, except you also get the added perk of $12 beers, instead of those pesky $1 beers your wife keeps bringing you.

Turris between Foligno and Condra in the morning skate.

Man, it kinda is hard to pencil in the lines right now. 14 forwards at the moment. Even if you assume Butler & Konopka are out most nights, you still have to find a spot for Regin.

Regin - Spezza - Michalek
Foligno - Turris - Alfie
Greening - Smith - Neil
Daugavins - Winchester - Condra

Something like that. Nice to have options.

I think Spezza and Alfie need to play together.

Michalek makes any line he plays on legit, can't think of a better way to get Turris going.

Only question is if 9MM will be the same player when he recovers from the concussion.

I'd probably do that too, yeah.

The Voice just said that these are the first three lines:

Greening-Spezza-Alfie
Foligno-Turris-Condra
Smith-Regin-Neil

Condra on the second line? Interesting. We'll see, I guess. Expect a lot of shuffling.
