That makes more sense, but were the original ones from practice?

Edit: And by "more sense" I meant "less sense". I only noted that DaCosta was back at center. Foligno on the top line? Breaking up the Regin-Neil combo? Insanity, but I guess the litmus test is winning, and even though that line was clicking the team was losing.
How would switching Neil for Alfie make that line worse? or less sensible?

It's just that Regin/Neil have been clicking. Alfiemight be better used to jump-start another line.

On the other hand, it's not like we're winning, so throw darts at a dart board and pick the lines that way. What could go wrong?

Yeah, it kinda came out of the blue. I didn't think he was ready yet either.

Well there you have it, it seems to be a fait accompli that Zibanejad will be in the SEL soon. Or we'll play him the extra game to have him go from Bingo to Ottawa <- that's my vote.

Those are actually the lines?

Hmmm....

Like the Regin line, like the Spezza like, the Da Costa line is terrible, the Z-Bad line is...odd.

What qualifies the Da Costa line as terrible?

Apparently yes.

Agreed, top 6 good, bottom 6 bad or odd as you say.

Atleast we're surrounding Da Costa with some sick talent to prove his worth!!

He said odd not terrible.

It's just odd not having offensive players with Da Costa...he's not a checker is he?

Yeah, just what SG was saying, it's a clumsy line for a guy that has a lot of talent. It might not be terrible, but...I dunno, I can think of better uses for Da Costa than on a 3rd line checking line.

Z-Bad's line is full of piss and vinegar...but it too is strange if you want point production.

The only thing I can think of is that MacLean really wants Da Costa to tune into what needs to be done in the defensive zone by following Winchester and Condra's examples.

I didn't really think of that. Good call.
