OT but Holy Crow the Pens are unbelievable. No Crosby, no Malkin, no Letang and they still get wins. Beating MTL 2-0 in the late second.

I mean we all used to hate on them for tanking for so long but they deserve huge props for the management and coaching staff they've brought in and the system and team identity they've developed. I think right now they are as good or maybe even better as an organization than Detroit.

How many games do you think they'd lose this year if they were fully healthy? 15? 12?

It's certainly harder to hate them these days. I've got a running joke at work that I'll switch to the Pens when they fire their two current color commentators....

So, I'm back from the buffet for a family birthday supper. Got a heritage jersey with tickets (one extra to make it three, since this was from the girls and they're coming with me to the game -- they don't know it yet, but I got them Selena Gomez tickets, and since my wife is out of town I'll be taking them). Also got a Team Russia jersey (coming next week -- they were out of XL) from one of my sons -- he was going to put 50 and "Old Fart" on the back but my wife talked him out of the "Old Fart" part). Also got a new laptop backpack since to replace the current one (zipper busted on the laptop compartment). And a Casio ProTrek PAW5000 watch -- solar powered, atomic time, altimeter, barometer, compass and water resistant to 100 m.

Oh, and the Sens scored to tie it up when I got in the van to come home from the restaurant, then again just after we got home.

Great game, the Alfie is awesome, etc etc...

I just came on to express my rage at how awful Denis Potvin is doing the colour commentary. From making erroneous statements (i.e. the Sens killing a penalty when it is clearly 4 on 4, etc etc), to leaving his sentences hanging mid-stream, to non-sensical conversation, etc etc.

Anyway, the guy really really really sucks, and I think I might even take Greg Millen over him at this point. I really, honestly believe he is the worst I have ever heard.
