Oh yeah, he gets most of the team amped up every time he steps out.

As for Gonchar - I think what's amping him up is MacLean - who knows how to handle him. How much of a relief for Gonchar must it be to have someone in place who appears to have a solid handle on what gameplan he wants from the forwards and the D and how he wants it executed instead of it becoming a guessing game.

Yeah it was pretty notable imo. And it started with Zibs aggression and persistence.

Fair enough. I just wanted to make clear that there's a huge difference between the way the two have performed.

Butler is the anti-Bochenski. Scored a lot in the regular season on a line with Spezza, but once the pre-season started and he got moved around, the well dried up.

Da Costa hurt today - Z-Bad selling his soul to the Devil?

ZBad is looking pretty good for a lock for that 2C spot now... injuries helping him for sure.

Zibanejad would be on the opening night roster regardless. He's been the best forward, not just the best rookie, in the entire camp.

I don't think he's been the best forward. He's just getting noticed more because he's the shiny new toy. At times he does look a bit lost but not too much.

and you literally said Da Costa was outplaying him, now you're flip flopping again. Michalek has been the best forward IMO. Even Zack Smith.
