Canada vs. France right now on TSN.

Canada leading 3-0. Stephane Da Costa and older borther Teddy in the line-up for France.

3-1 Canada now.

In a span of about 50 seconds Canada added 2 goals to increase their lead to 5-1.

Spezza with at least 2 points apparently - including a goal.

Burns and Nash score, 7-1 now, nearing the halfway point of the 3rd.

Skinner scores his 3rd of the tournament on a penalty shot. 8-1 Canada.

Zajac's 1st makes it 9-1.

Pietrangelo left the game with an injury. Could be a huge blow.

Russia and Slovenia tied at 4. Radulov has a goal. This guy needs to suck it up and get his butt back to the NHL.

Hmm Jeff Skinner, Tavares, Eberle doing well. I guess Hitchock doesn't work well with youngsters

Agreed. That was disappointing. Is he still Nashville property if he comes back?

I believe so. I am under impression he will have to honour his ELC contract with Nashville if he ever wants to play in the NHL again. OF course, Nashville could trade his rights.

It's pretty stupid because he would have finished his ELC in 2009-2010, and would be making more now.

There may well be more to the story than we know, but it was a strange decision (reminds me a bit of the Nabokov situation).

Apparently he just wanted more money and the KHL offered him better conditions (Russian, more money, etc).

Pretty much as simple as that apparently.

Amazing he scored 61 goals in 62 games with Quebec. Had 152 points that season

He's making $8M (over 3 years) in the KHL. That's more than he would have made over here, plus it's tax-free and he probably gets a lot of other perks on top (free apartment, driver/bodyguard). If he ever makes it back to the NHL he may still be Nashville's property, but I don't think he'd be bound by the rules of an ELC contract (at least not all of them).
