I think it's ribiero. He's been linked tp so many of these i'm not sure dallas wants to move forward with him.

Yeah, his name came up a lot along with DeBoer before Shartsburg was hired.

I would assume it's Anisimov or Kreider, Gilroy, Drury and a 1st, something I wish we could get.

that would be a huge deal....though I'm surprised with the way calgary is playing, and iginla's 'desire' to be a flame, that a deal is about to go down...

supposed to be 2002-2003. That was our best season ever....and yes that was our best shot to win the cup...even better than the time we went to the cup finals. That's why all my avatars are of players from that year...I long for those glory days

We'd have to tank for years and abolish the salary cap to have a team like that again (much less keep it for a while).

Cuss 2002/3, the year Hasek went to the Cussing Olympics was the year we were absolutely bringing the Cup home.

I replay that moment every day in my mind....just like 2 mins to go, redden leaves friesen open, lalime can't make the save. Moments before that, Brodeur stoens Hossa. I tell you what, the stanley cup finals were great, but the electricity in the Palladium was for some reason at another level in game 7 against NJ. Even the devils players remarked about it....it was crazy. Car flags flying everywhere, spezza making an impact, phillips with a great OT goal, and Ottawa on the verge of completing a 3-1 comeback as presidents trophy winners.....

haha true true, BUT in terms of just how close we were....we were oh so close in '03.....that was the most heartbreaking game 7 ever and just the worst feeling ever to go down with 2 mins left (remember how most sens players just collapsed to the ice when the game was over...particularly hossa and volchenkov).

balls to the fact that sens couldn't win it for Roger Nielsen...but the Cussing devils were inspired cuz Joe Nieuwendyk was crying in the locker room. Oh well, they did have the legendary pat burns behind the bench

On a side note, that is the single greatest playoff series I have witnessed up to date...and its not just my bias for the sens getting in the way. How friggin' entertaining was that series? two of the best fighting till the end
