That's what I figured, but I had to be sure. How Eklund and his site became so popular is beyond me.

It's the old saying "One born every minute" at work.

Mind you I'm kind of jealous I didn't think of it. Post bogus made up rumours, steal info from other sources and and have people think you have legit insider sources and actually have people PAY YOU for more of your made up crap.

Imagine making your living doing that ?

I feel the same way. I still don't get why more credible people align themselves with the guy.

On a totally separate matter:

Bogo to Ottawa?

more to come

My limited research into his game showed that you don't even get more of his crap when you pay. He apparently constantly promises (ahem) more to come as far as the rumour chart is concerned, but never, or almost never, actually updates it. When he does, it's really just a compilation of his previous posts.

Agreed. Best part is that, if you check out the forum boards on Hockeybuzz, you'll inevitably see posters who justify their "Season pass." Idiots. HeadBanger

Yeah, I definitely wish I had come up with his business model.

Anyone with Twitter access can get all his legit "scoops" before he does, and you don't have to engage your Dung filter.

It's a dying breed, he can't expect to make much more money with Twitter etc.

Talk about a team that's Cussed...not a lot of attractive pieces there to trade and a ton of NTC/NMC.

And they are ranked last by Hockey's Future for prospect depth.

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/nhl_organisation_rankings/?start=24

I definitely agree with Ottawa's placement in the rankings at 16th. We have a glut of D-talent coming up, but the cupboard is virtually bare where forwards are concerned. If we had the same level of talent coming up the forward ranks as we do from the blueline, it would be impossible not to put the Sens in the top 5.

Spader, I just wanted to say that I haven't seen you post before, from what I can remember; but you have been all over these threads the last 2 days and your thoughts and opinions are a good read.

Haha. Glad to see I'm so forgettable. We've actually had a couple conversations, including via PM. You were gonna send me an email a while back (regarding waiver status I think).

EDIT: ...but I do appreciate the compliment. I tend to post here sporadically. I do my best impression of most of our forward corps. I'm streaky, but when I'm producing, I produce.

It is all coming back to me now.

Producing you are.

I think it's fair to say that there will be a couple of offers for Ruutu to choose from. He's the kind of player that puts a contender over the top, IMO.

Ruutu back to Pittsburgh, or where do I think Ruutu will go.

If it's Ruutu back to Pitts, I would say they're chalk full of 3rd/4th liners. If I was guessing, I'd say Ruutu to....one of Dallas, Colorado, Phoenix or Chicago. 4 teams who are in the playoff race, but have rather suspect PKing/need for an agitator.

check out post game Phillips

I don't want THAT Phillips mentoring anyone.....

He will never be traded - next captain of the Ottawa Senators. No questions asked. Bar none. Without an exception. Indisputable. Without a shadow of doubt. I am Lion, hear me roar. Undeniable. No doubt about it. Irrefutable. Incontestable. I can see the future. His number will be retired next season while he is still wearing it.

Phillips sure seems down and depressed. Mind you, they don't have much to be happy about these days. I'm not sure what you expect him to say though.

You could say what Foligno said, or Alfredsson or even the backbone Neil.

Or you could step up and play better and lead by example on the ice too.

Foligno really impressed me with his comments. Sounds to me like an emerging leader in that locker room.

Foligno has always sounded good. Really took his media training seriously I guess.
