I wants SSF's thoughts on FIsher today .....thank god for him today, that's one of his best games in a while. Sarcasm

Sigh....Leclaire......that injury did not look good. Lehner to the rescue?

Yeah, yeah, I know, Roche, you're going to want to tear me a new one, but I'd love to have our own Swedish Monster up here, ya know?

Nope. Not me. Whatever happens, happens.

I just have my way I want it to go down.

Things change so quickly in the NHL. Player development is light years ahead of even five years ago. Who knows? Maybe Lehner is ready to compete at the NHL level, even as a 19-year-old. I hope the guys getting paid six and seven figure salaries can be certain of the answer.

As an aside to the game, both TSN and SportsNet analysts believe that a suspension should be forthcoming to Nick Foligno for his hit against Pat Dwyer. According to the rules, it was a blind side hit on a lateral play which is grounds for suspension - although there was no call made in the game.

Will be very interesting to see the hypocrisy of a league that wouldn't punish Matt Cooke for pretty much ending Marc Savard's career but will suspend Nick Foligno for a so-so borderline hit.

If Leclaire is going to be out a while I would not be surprised to see them play the crap out of Elliott like they did the last time this happened.

Borderline or not, it's the type of hit that they are (finally) trying to remove from the game. I'd have no problem if Nick got suspended, but I would not be surprised if they don't: no call, the guy got up right away, Foligno has no priors.

Wasn't Cooke's hit on Savard before the *new* rule?

I was at the game and my seats were at that end of the ice. In answer to your question: Do bears dung in the woods?

They would probably just re-insert Smith into the lineup.

Hey, if the Devils can play with 3 forward lines, why can't we play with 5? On an emergency basis. We have so much third/fourth-line depth that we need more lines.

Yeah, I'd expect the same... and if Brodeur is not able to play, we may see Lehner called up, leaving Bingo in the hands of Brust.
