SensChirp gets more views than Yost by a long shot - not buying the temper tantrum at all.

Doesn't matter anyway, you can bet JC at SensChirp will hear about this if it's legit - and if BDP wants to back away, then JC will take it laughing and run.

If there's anything to run with - which I bet there won't be.

plus the sens organization knows about chirp. AGAIN, that post on HB is still up. why isn't bdp furious that its not taken down yet?? its just personal attacks that has nothing to do with 'oh crap my source will find out and stop feeding me info'. Nothing at all to do with that.

Mind you, if we made even 1 cent here, then I'd say this was very good for business. People love a good rumour. If nothing else, it's good to get back into some conversations.

The point is, 1000s of more people will read HB than here or any other hockey rumour site. BDP's source is more likely to hear about BDP positing what he does now precisely because it's on HB.

Not all hockey forums are created equal. The more followers, the more likely it is that BDP's source will hear about this. It's pretty simple, really.

right. and I agree. I'm just saying that this information posted by yost could have easily been attained from another website, like GMH. Him getting mad at yost is stupid since a) he's not asked for the info to be taken down, so I don't know how legit his argument is about his source getting pissed, and b) he should be getting mad that ANYONE can take his information and post it wherever they want without any consequences. such is the life of a public forum, so why bring up points like 'you shouldn't do this' or whatever. yeah its an unwritten rule perhaps, but blame the system. I agree with people who say that if he doesn't want his information shared elsewhere, because there is ALWAYS risk of that, then he just shouldn't post.

This site is way better that HB, in my humble opinion, but let's not pretend here that it has anywhere close to the same kind of following.

As for the difference you don't see: do you see anyone on this site posting 'insider information'? The closest thing we had to that were Dawg, Dawg's wife, and N4L. There's a huge difference between talking about the Sens, and leaking out sensitive Sens org information.

You keep talking about how big Hockeybuzz is compared to GMHockey and the huge difference between the two sites.

Let's be honest, your numbers are misplaced. The actual comparison is Travis Yost's column versus GMHockey. My guess is they are pretty equal with GMHockey being the slight winner in terms of hits and a huge win in terms of quality that read.

I personally don't believe anybody that remains anonymous on the internet and then claims to have sources and proceeds to tell the world his sourced info.

I believe people that have a name and press credentials when it comes to the internet and hockey related facts.
