we send them a prospect/young player with a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
i imagine we can trade kuba to another team without having to waive him if we want to make room on the team.
i still believe there's a way to make room for savard Facepalm

Trading Fish if he were to waive would clear enough right there.

Not saying it would be a good idea, but he would become kinda overpaid on the 3rd line.

I'm personally excited to have Kuba this year, he's gonna have a lot more fun now that he's on the 2nd pairing and the pressure's not there (unjustly) for him to be the top pairing/top PP QB guy.

If you want to clear the salary, look no farther than Leclaire or Kovalev (not preferable), but we all know that's not happening. I think Savard stays personally and is dealt at the deadline or next summer.

the guy was a shinning beacon in the playoffs. if there's anything that left me wanting more last season it's leclaire. he proved he could work under pressure. not an obvious talent amongst NHL goalies.

the other player i can't wait to see? regin. Rockon

I've said this before: I don't hold any ill feelings towards Leclaire, I think he might have an opportunity to be solid this year, I just find it annoying that we're dealing with a guy who's always hurt - whether it's his fault or not - when goalies can be had for nothing these days.

One goalie has been signed for more than 3 million in the NHL this off-season that I can think of. Teams are spending their $$ in other places - my only issue is that I would like to give that a try too (using Leclaire's money that is).

The flip side of the coin is we've all seen Leclaire's talent and I think all of us hold out hope that he can come in and dominate from pre-season to the end of the year (and beyond). Hopefully that happens, that would be the final piece to what will be a wonderful year IMO (it still will be because Elliott's damn solid anyway).
