Don't know about that. Jagr up and left as well. Either way, they need a lot to go right for them to overcome that D. I think Giroux is a super star now but beside Simmonds and Hartnell (career year last year as well) then have nothing they can really count on. Briere is a solid #2 center but his regular seasons are not always the greatest and they need it to be to get into the playoffs.

Their whole team basically rests on the shoulders on one player.

Voracek, Schenn and Couturier are in there as well. We'll see what happens as it seems they'll lose Carle.

The Sens are basically riding Spezza, not much different from the Flyers and Giroux.

you mean Foligno? He's had so many years to prove he's a top 6 guy and has still yet to establish himself there.

Spezza would be a huge hit and the Sens probably don't make the playoffs without him but they still have other they can lean on. Karlsson being the front of the group. Anderson can also carry the ball for a bit.

Philly, Giroux goes down and they are a lotto pick.

Voracek is a legitimate 2nd line forward as his 4 seasons int he NHL have been 38, 50, 46, 49 points. He would have been 5th on the team in scoring if you'd have put him on the Sens (the exact same place Foligno was oddly enough).

You're take on the Flyers is laughable as well, you're underrating a handful of their players. The first guy that comes to mind is Daniel Briere who could easily carry the load for a bit with the depth they have in Philly.

Yay, Parise and Suter will be old news and the rest of the frenzy can continue.

Funny how the perfect-in-every-way Wings are so desperate to buy a replacement for Lidstrom. What happened to all their awesome late-round picks? Laugh1 Laughing3

Some moments of extreme bad-ness stand out, but Bryzgalov was not terrible last year, despite what you may think. For large stretches of the season, he played quite well.

Apparently Suter to Minny is a done deal.

I'm not even gonna dump on Bryzgalov but I do want to heap praise on The Gregger. That there is a damn nice goaler right there.

Matrix is the man, dating back to his first game for us. He is outstanding, and there are very few other goalies I would trade him for.

To Minny? Wow, does Parise follow suit?

Everyone else in the East pretty much stayed the same, imo.

I dunno man....he can be that bad again IMO. He can't handle pressure very well. I like Briere, Simmonds, Giroux, Hartnell, Couturier, Read, but can they win games when Bryz sucks? And what of that D?

.887 SV% in the playoffs.
.907% in the regular season.

He's awful, he's more known for his quotes to the media and on 24/7 than his goaltending last year. He's a flake.

Maybe he'll rebound but he was brutal most of last year.

Their D is par with out D, imo. Karlsson is obviously the best of the bunch by a country mile but they have better depth than us with arguably five/six guys who play in a top-six role.

The only place we have an advantage is in nets, and I don't think it's a clear cut as Sens fans would like to admit.

Love seeing the mighty Wings get snubbed! Their defense is piss-poor save Kronwall and Smith.

What they couldn't sell their customary "take a pay cut for the privilege of playing for the Wings?" I thought that always worked?

Parise to follow suit to Minnesota from all indications. Detroit has been informed they are out of the mix on Parise.

PITT too a few minutes earlier.

Good for Minnesota. That's a legitimate hockey market.

I didn't even think Detroit was in the mix for Parise. Thought it was MIN-NJ-PITT.

It's down to MIN and NJ. If I'm Parise I'm going to Minn who look very good right now. .

So Parise and Suter will be in Minnesota. That is fine. Makes the west a little more interesting, and keeps those guys from suiting up in the east.

Minny will collapse in on itself.
