I can't open the link. But...

* no deal will be announced this week
* Cullen gets his money and is the #1 center next year if Spezza is gone
* Spezza, Lee, & Volchenkov rights are out the door

Please God don't let us get ripped off by Edmonton. I've been sparring with Oil fans all week on HF explaining why Spezza for Cogliano and Penner is a terrible move for the Sens. Mad

Well it is. If that's the actual deal I think it's safe to say even those who want Spezza gone, Murray got shafted hard in a big, bad way.

I dont think there is anyway Cullen is let go if Spezza gets moved but there is no way he becomes the number 1 center and I think will be playing the wing with Alfi and Fisher.

I bet you Regin gets a serious look as the 1st line center this year if Spezza is gone.

Regin as top line center is the most ridiculous thing of all when people talk about trading Spezza. The kid isn't ready, I'd be ready to put large sums of money on it.

Never said he was, but I bet you he does get a real look and opportunity until he proves he isnt ready. If Murray is counting on that, then I question it in a big way.

Weiss is the same age, put up 61, then 60 points on one of the crappiest teams in the league, 28 goals last year.

Weiss, Ballard and the 3rd for Spezza, Lee, 16th overall. If Foligno sways it, I would still think about it.

Please be that deal.

Or Weiss, 3rd overall, 33rd overall for Spezza, Lee, 16th overall and the Sens sign Z.Michalek July 1.

If Weiss is involved I'm not as dissapointed. He's a heck of a player.

Brassard and I *might* have to switch teams (again speaking out of emotion, not objectively)

Seriously, if the deal involves Wiess Ottawa has to be happy, he's a very good hockey player and has had the chance to develope in a somewhat controlled enviornment.

Weiss would be my target - along with the 3rd overall. And then I'd sign Z.Michalek.

But that's pretty much a perfect world.
