Great stuff. It would be a minor miracle if Brodeur played like this for even one more game, but it's really nice for him - and for us - right now.

Brodeur is now 2-0 with a 0.50 GAA and .980 save% with 1 SO.

Could you imagine if we had a goaltender playing consistently like that?

I had a feeling we might win after the Kelly goal.

What a great win by the team. If we could just get goaltending like that all the time then we'd be all set.

I'll take a 2.40 with anything over a .915 and be smiling ear to ear.

“I love tough games,” said Brodeur. I love when the score is tied in
tight games. If you’re a goalie and you don’t like tight games, you
picked the wrong career. It was a great effort. A great team effort.
This was huge.”

Nice quote. He may sell a few jerseys before he goes back to Bingo. I half hope we see him at least once more. The skaters could definitely pick up a spark that the type of goaltending Brodeur has been providing.

Been there done that. Spezza and Kuba for Phaneuf and Mikael Backlund.

Despite Dion's slide, he'd still be a force on our blueline. I'm also ready to practically give Kuba away.

I'd be comfortable with that but I think we would need to take on some more salary from Calgary.

MurderOnIce wrote:LeClaire or Elliot better friggin play. They are not going to get better by avoiding the ice. Get out there and stop the puck. Do your job don't worry about anything else. Same can be said to every Senator. Do your own job. Dropping your head down as soon as a bad goal goes in does nothing for anyone other than to perpetuate losing. Take care of your own yard because there is a lot of blame to go around. Goalies are letting in bad goals sure but they can't win games in which we score one goal. So scorers score, grinders, grind, fighters fight, defence play defence and everybody shut up and stop pointing fingers.

In retrospect, how do you feel about your post now? What about the guy who +d you for it?

I'd start Brodeur personally.

Well, of course, in retrospect, that's obvious. Brodeur has had the least "coaching" from Wilson. But to say that 7 hours before puck drop -- I give you kudos, Cap'n. And a + as well. Well earned.

Rangers 9 - 0

Brodeur finally gets pulled after 6 goals and a flu ridden Elliott allows another 3.

Ottawa has 3 quality scoring chances all game with King Hank obviously stopping everything.

Shot count 55 to 18 in favour of the Rangers. Even Redden gets a goal.

Aaand this one gets you a -. Sorry, Cap'n.

Of course if you were just doing this to get Karma on our side I will reconsider.

Ouch. I think the Sens win this one. 3-2 or 2-1

Nice prediction. + for you.

My first thought that it was b.s. on both parts. I think they're embarfassed that they got their coach fired.

Laughing3 Laughing3

Edit: Seriously that's right up there with the Bongo Sens.

Will that ever get supplanted? There have been many contenders and they all wilted in the end.

2nd that one. I have been waiting to see Brashear get his from a Sen

The first time was a draw (although Carkner ended up on-top):
