Getting Leclaire to agree to a conditioning stint in Bingo sounds good, but what do you do after he is "ready" to return the the NHL? Elliott as mentioned would also have to clear waivers (I believe). You won't be trading Leclaire (another thing that would make Murray look liek a fool) and I doubt they trade Elliott. Do you carry three goalies?

What? Isn't Brodeur on a 2-way??

He is, but as I have learned, a 2-way does not affect waivers, it only means you get paid two separate salaries (for AHL or NHL). He had to clear waivers last time he was recalled.

I doubt anyone would claim him, that would be a very shady move on any GM's part. They'd find themselves in Murray's bad books and I dont' think you want to do that for a rookie goalie that isn't proven.

Brodeur is currently up in OTT on an emergency recall basis, which means he bypasses waivers altogether. Of course, that also means there are specific conditions on his recall... we can't just keep him up here as long as we'd like to. We have to have an injured goaltender to do so.

Let's hope our doctors discover that Leclaire and Elliott have come down with the rare disease known as "suckatitus."

If by chance Brodeur were to go on waivers again, and some bunghole GM were indeed to pick him up, that team would have to play him in at least one NHL game and keep him on their roster all year long. The second they try to demote him, he would go on waivers, and OTT (as the team who lost him on waivers the first time) would have first dibs.

So, yeah, unlikely.

What's going on with the site? I have no PM feature and I am missing the PM button up top. Anyone else suffering?

Thanks for the added info Rooney, I wasn't even thinking about it that way. So, it's very very unlikely anyone would pick him up.

It's a little wonky this morning for sure. I'm having all kinds of issues. I keep having to close out and come back in.

Wasn't he called up on an emergency basis? That usually skips the waiver wire. If so, he should be safe.

Bleh... must have missed it... so tired this morning... daughter was up all night long...

Coffee is not even making a dent...

At any rate... we're 1 point behind the Rags now. They do have a game in hand, but that was some nice ground to make up.

During a two-on-one drill during Thursday's morning skate, Leclaire took a shot from Mike Fisher square on the forehead.

Hopefully it was just a slapshot and not a snapshot.
