"Redden and Prospal return to Ottawa... is it Elliot's time?"
The Ottawa Senators (8-6-2, 18 points, 3rd in the Northeast) welcome back Wade Redden, Vinnie Prospal and the New York Rangers (10-8-1, 21 points, 4th in the Atlantic) to Scotiabank Place. The Rangers will be without the services of Chris Drury and Brandon Dubinsky but will have Gaborik in the line-up, and of course King Henry between the pipes. The Rangers got off to a crazy start but have since cooled off and are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Thrashers on Thursday night. The Sens are coming off a horrible collapse against Ray Emery and the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night. The Sens had two good periods but then the wheels came off in the third and the Flyers skated away with the game dropping a 5-1 drubbing on the Sens with Emery getting the last laugh... for now. Discipline was once again the downfall. The Sens have got to stay out of the sin bin and play a more disciplined game. Leclaire looked off on a couple of plays... perhaps we'll see Elliott in net on Saturday? Who knows... we'll find out on Saturday morning. It's a 2pm start to set your reminders and get those beers on ice!

Huge game for The Sens and pretty close to a must win IMO. Not in the sense they need the points right now but in the sense they have to do everything possible to avoid a skid that could cost them their season.

There was a lot of talk about Elliott getting a chance on Saturday but I say put Leclaire right back in there. Get the communication going between the D and Leclaire, get them all on the same page and get them comfortable with each other...

I think you go with Elliott, this is short turn around and Elliott needs some starts too. Lets see what kind of game they come out with when Elliott is inbetween the pipes.

Big decision for Clouston...

Does Donovan get back in? With the effort level from last game I dont see how he cant. Ive had questions about Clouston all year and I still have the same ones.

Clouston on Leclaire: He has to be better for us, and we have to be better in front of him.

No doubt about it.

Elliott should play for sure. No hate for Leclaire or anything, but it's time for Elliott to get a game in.

i agree that elliott should be in but i think it's not sending the right message. judging from the goaltending fiasco that is the montreal canadians, i want our number 1 goaltender to not be interchangeable. i say leclaire in because i believe we can win this one and make a statement now that elliott is in next game.

Won't be an easy won, but I'm hoping we win this game based on pride alone. They should be proving to us and themselves that the 5-1 game last night isn't the kind of team they are. Hoping for a lot more heart and jump.
