"Don't dwell on the past... just look forward... cuz it's pretty ugly back there..."
The Ottawa Senators (22-21-4, 48 points, barely in 3rd in the Northeast) continue their road trip from hell and pay a visit to the New York Rangers (22-17-7, 51 points, 3rd in the Atlantic) on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. The Sens have lost five in a row and were beaten pretty handily by the Thrashers on Tuesday night. This is a new low point for the Sens this year with all the injuries and lack of confidence. The Rangers have three wins and three losses in January so hopefully the Sens can catch them snoozing. This road trip has the makings of an 0-5 record and that's not a good thing. Alfie is still a ways out before coming back so they're going to have to grind this out with the current roster for the rest of the trip. Hopefully we can get some bounces in New York and maybe lady luck will give us a wink. Or perhaps Lundqvist will forget how to stop a puck... dare to dream. GO SENS GO!!!

Sens will still lose but perhaps by not quite as embarrassing a margin this time?

Oh and don't forget Carvel sucks. How does he still have a job.

It worked for getting Eli out of here in the last GDT so lets see if we can get it to work again. Dancing

Anyone see the Rags game last night? That was a goaltending show-down for the ages.

96 combined shots for the teams, no goals. It took extra innings in the shoot-out for the Devils to win. And Redden was playing, too.

So don't get your hopes up for an offensive outburst.

As I wrote in the Atlanta thread, I don't mind losing so much as being beaten badly by a Dung team. No reason for that.

Is it Carvel's idea to have our underachieving forwards be rewarded with easy minutes on the point?
