NO ONE thought we were a CUP contender this year. Absolutely no one. And if they did, they were off their meds. No way in hell would anyone think that. General consensus was that we'd duke it out for one of the bottom spots in the East.111519 wrote:sorry I haven't been listening, other than firing a coach, has Murray done anything to actually improve the teams chances of winning the Stanley Cup? Even with our injured players back, does anyone actually see us being contenders for the Cup-isin't that what we are trying for? Isin't it Murrays JOB to do everything he can to make this happen? I'm tired of us being a middle of the road team, it's time to do something that looks like an improvement-you can't tell me there are not other GM's out there that would be willing to deal with half the season over.
Of course, every GM's job is to work towards building a Cup contender. No question. But, in this new cap era, you can't do that overnight like you used to.
