Well, that was brutal.

It's not as easy as we've made it out to be but Boyle said we were one of the teams on his list and all Murray had to do was make an offer. He declined. Who in their right mind would do that when we are losing Redden (who wasn't very good but he should have been replaced) and Meszaros? He should have relished the opportunity to get a guy like Boyle. All it would have costed us was Meszaros.

I really don't think it's the goalies. It's something else. What that is I can only think coaching. Elliott was a promising young goalie who was embarrassingly good in the AHL and played pretty well last season. Leclaire has had some solid games when healthy in Columbus. Emery has played well in Philly. There's something going on and it's not the goalies. I truly believe that.

Maybe it is Eli... it is really puzzling...

I think it shows just how bad our defense and goaltending really is. We all knew it was bad. I think this shows us just how bad it really is.

I'm not sure we can expect much more. Kovalev is useless, I'll agree... and now Fisher is getting a Dung more attention than he's used to.
This is bad luck people, not bad management....
Take any other team in the league, subtract their top 4 players, and see how they compete.

Murray's drafting has been good and Melnyk does seem to like him.
I could see Tim Murray taking over as GM. He would be a good guy to start a rebuild.
