Selon Larry Brooks du NY Post, Garth Snow serait en mission pour obtenir les services d'Ilya Kovalchuk avant la date limite des échanges. Le DG des Islanders offrirait De Haan, Joensuu, Bergenheim et un choix de 1ère ronde.
Don Waddel aura beaucoup de difficulté à signer son joueur étoile qui recherche un contrat de 12 ans dans les environs de 120 M$. Un échange pourrait être la seule solution pour Atlanta.
D'autres rumeurs affirment que Alexander Medvedev, le président de la KHL, voudrait offrir un contrat de 20 M$ à la star russe, en gardant en tête que les joueurs ne payent pas de taxes et impôts en Russie. Cette nouvelle n'est pas étonnante, Sergei Fedorov touche présentement 14 MS en Russie. Il n'est donc pas surprenant que Medvedev soit prêt à payer autant d'argent pour Ilya Kovalchuk

Selon le Denver post, l'attaquant Marek Svatos a été offert à toutes les équipes de la LNH.
Joueur autonome sans compensation au terme de la saison, Svatos connaît une année atroce avec une fiche de 6 buts, 3 passes en 35 matchs.
Le Slovaque avait connu sa meilleure saison en 2005-2006 en enfilant 32 buts et amassant 18 passes en 61 matchs.
Les Bruins de Boston et les Sénateurs d'Ottawa seraient les équipes intéressées à Svatos.

who is the inside man. If that were true I'd be comfortable with that but I dont think Edmonton would be willing to move those 2 guys for ours. I think it would need to be more Kelly on the way out for those guys because Edmonton needs PK help.
