Shea is a UFA next year and Nashville won't pay him what he deserves. I can honestly see a Fish for Weber trade this summer or next year. That is if we add legit scoring threat(s)

Shea Weber is a Norris Trophy type defenseman. If they let him go they are dumber than we were with Chara.

At some point BM needs to make a big pitch for a franchise player. Once Alfie leaves we don't really have one (some may argue Spezza but I really don't think he will be anything without Alfie). I would kill for a sign-and-trade with Atlanta for Kovalchuk. He's top-5 skillwise in the NHL and could single-handedly turn this franchise around.

As for Weber, same thing. Make a move to help this franchise for the long-run...

Do you realize what the price would be for Weber though? Cowen, 1st round pick, Michalek. It would be pulverizing. Would I do it? Diddle yeah, but people should realize the intense cost.
