Sounds like Karlsson had the flu as well. Clouston said he wasn't feeling so well at practice today.

Gets the flu and then gets demoted. Poor guy.N4L wrote:Karlsson got screwed in every way possible at this point.

Regardless, this sucks. I'm kinda confused what the reasoning behind it is. Maybe it'll be a wake-up call? Hopefully he takes it in stride.
Personally, aside from the odd slip- I think he's looked great.

That's what we all hope will happen but can you blame him if he takes it personally? Just a week or so a go, Murray told the media he would be in the NHL past the 10 game mark.SpezDispenser wrote:beedub wrote:I agree, if he bides his time, and uses the time in Binghamton to improve and mature, he's a lock to make the top 6 next season
Exactly, if he does this right he's a lock for top PP QB next year with Kuba. It's all part of the game, take it in stride, do your time, reap the rewards of being a top D-man.

Too funny! I kind of meant playing for Sweden, but yes, that was dumb.
You know what though, I think Karlsson should shut it and go play in Bingo, it is not a right to be on this team, but a privilege. He's lucky he got the chance to come down this year and get some experience. No bad can come out of this. But, if he goes back to play in Sweden then that could certainly set him back.
RobbyJ wrote:Asq, I would have thought you would accept this better. Your Wings have been keeping players in the minors after they are ready for the NHL. It's the advantage of organizational depth. Karlsson will come back next year and be a more physically and mentally mature rookie.
If he's a professional, he'll understand. It's all part of the path to the NHL. Playing in the NHL is a privilege, not a right.N4L wrote:Well, hopefully this kid's confedence isnt totally crushed because he gave up A LOT to come here this year for a roster spot that was in Ottawa, sheltered by Alfi off the ice and Kuba on it.
Tough break for this kid.
True, and my comment cuts both ways, the Ottawa Senators need to be professional about it too and give him the support he needs to ensure there's no set back or that this won't help him.N4L wrote:It is, but now he has absolutely no support what so ever... it might not be a bad thing but something like this could really break a 19 year old kid. If he was Canadian or American he would be headed for Jr and have a lot of support, Bingo better give this kid all the support in the world because he is gping to need it.
