Who knows though? He scored back to back 50 goal seasons here, not to mention the 100 points back to back. One of the most prolific scorers of our generation. He's an asshat, but some Ottawa fans might still like him...or not... Shrug

My second favourite is undoubtedly Antoine Vermette.

Third is Steve Duchesne or Magnus Arvedsson.

Somewhere around twenty-eighth is Andreas Dackell.

Not to take us off topic here but I gotta say, I can't hate Muckler for that one. At the time, I was in favour of Redden over Chara.

Yeah, me too; I felt that Chara was bound to start having back problems (with him being so tall and all) BUT I'm still upset with Muckler about the way it unfolded; basically he never bothered putting a number in front of Chara ... POLL: Favourite Former Senator - Page 2 15281

Maybe, but I vote for NOT!! Unless they are REALLY casual fans, then maybe. Or, if they were living in the North Pole this summer...possibly. I just can't imagine.

Did anyone vote for Yashin? Pretty much the same in my opinion.

Drew Fata. What a crippling loss. POLL: Favourite Former Senator - Page 2 428331 He's followed closely by Arnason, Bondra, Lapointe, and Mike Morrison.

Seriously though, Chara's #1, followed by Hossa. I liked Leschyshyn as well.

Oh yeah!! HAVLAT!!! I forgot and didn't see his name there originally. He's definitely up there with Hasek and Chara for me, he was sooooo much fun..until he broke.

We seem to have pretty short memories. Not a single vote for Redden so far. I know he sucked for his last two seasons, but c'mon...

By the way, here's a list of Ottawa's all-time roster in case anybody wants to make sure they're not forgetting someone.

He didn't suck the last two years. People just realized how ordinary he had been for his whole career and how that career was built on the backs of talented teammates and a constant barrage of media hype. POLL: Favourite Former Senator - Page 2 807786

That one gets me every time. One of my earliest Sens memories is of seeing him on the ice. I thought it was a joke.

Perhaps. But I don't think there's any denying a dramatic decline in his level of play between '05-'06 and '06-'07. The man was our transition game.

The forwards were a big part of that transition game too but he got most of the credit.

Redden was awesome, then he complete flatlined. Epically failed the last 2 years of his 13 million dollar contract.

Add to that, we got to watch one of the greatest Sens ever leave here and go to a division rival for 1 million dollars more?

No votes are forthcoming for Redden I would wager.
