Noooooo! OK, he was next-to-last in my list, I believe, but he was my next D-man to take. I'm ruined. There's nobody left. I will have to ... wait ... what's that? Oooh, niiiice. I wonder if he will do that again.

And I'm not telling!

OK, seriously, though, just one more pick before me. Of the 7 I sent in only 2 got taken (so far). Are my picks getting worse or is this pool getting easier?

I come back and someome took Streit. Damn, nice pick, I wanted him to round out my D. My D and Goalies would have been set. Who needs forwards? Rockon

You do. 8 of them. By the time we are picking in the last two rounds we're still picking in the top 189 among league forwards. Based on last year's stats, #189 is Nick Foligno, who got 32 points along with David Clarkson. The two of them, together, outscored Streit by six points.

And believe me, there will be many players taken in earlier rounds in our pool that will get 32 points or so due to injury situations, so the forwards taken in the last two rounds will probably be averaging closer to 35-38 points each.

That said, we're picking 84 D-men, which means we're picking defensemen that will be getting in the low-20s (#84 last year had 22 points). I'm pretty sure I should be getting another defenseman in the next round. I had one defenseman in my last list of picks, so I was close to picking one this round. Actually, since Stastny is gone, maybe I should grab a defenseman now.

OK, I've changed my mind, Tuk. Ignore my previous list, I'll send you another one.

Again, thanks. But we actually need 9 forwards not 8 and on top of that we clearly have different strategies in this pool. Shrug

Another D man for me coming up, most likely. :n:

Even if he is injured until December; my bet is that he'll bring in 60 pts or so.

He will for sure get 60 points. But with that pick you saying that there are no 80 or even 70 point forwards left? I disagree.

I just took my first forward in round 5. Doan is all heart and I took him because even though he is a lock for the Olympic team, he will play his dung off to ensure his roster spot.

I really appreciate your opinion although I don't remember asking. Hossa's my pick and that's that; Whether you like that pick or not doesn't really factor into my decision-making process. Good luck with your picks.
