Well, they were given permission by Murray to directly speak to other teams so that's what they're doing; I have no problems with that.

Keep in mind that Murray is under no obligation to accept the trade that Heatley and his agents come up with either ... they can both play this game, but in the end, Murray holds Heatley's career in his hands.

I think we might get some better deals by around 3 or 4 PM tomorrow when teams have missed on key UFAs. That's my opinion. The Oilers deal should be the LAST resort.

I have to agree. Being a sens/oil fan i've seen a lot of Penner and Cogliano. I think they both have potential, but with Penner's price tag it would make a lot more sense for him to make the Rangers trade.

Of course I don't have a scouting team giving me info. In Murray we trust!

I'm on sportsnet and I'm not seeing any mention of the NY deal...the sun mentions it but just Roszi and Dubi...I could use one right about now...I can't believe this prick has the gull to knix the trade after all this bs...mas que merda, filha da puta!  Of the three deals mentioned in the sun, the oilers offer is for sure the best.  

I have a feeling that this is not getting done until tomorrow, when the $4M is out of the way. Murray's "ultimatum" was that if the Sens pay the $4M bonus then the receiving team will have to absorb some salary in the way of taking Smith, Schubert and Auld. Maybe that's preferable to some teams.

Brasil or Portugal?No doubt, Penner is the better option over Roszi!  I like the idea of getting Penner even though that salary is on the large side.  I'm just not sure what the point of us taking Smid would be...but I don't know much about him
