Heatley for Bieksa, Hodgson and their 1st seems pretty fair

I'm not mad at all because I saw this coming from a mile away. I am excitted for Ottawa, this has happend at a perfect time.

This is also huge for SPezza because he is going to go through exactly what he should have gone through earlier on in his career. He is going to struggle to get his points now, he is going to struggle to help the team win, and the team will struggle along with him. This is where he is going to learn to win and if he doesnt then he will just fade away slowly.

This is a new day for Ottawa and no one got killed this time before Heatley asked to be traded! Win win.

i think spezza will sturggle out of the gate this year but he will turn himself around he is working hard in the offseason right now and he will have to adjust to not looking for the big ontimer pass it will take him 20 games and he will adjust i always liked spezz time to show what he truely can be

Maybe, but it's true. That was a selfish act back then, this is a selfish act now. It might not be on the same level but it speaks to the kind of person he is.

Regardless, out of respect to all involved, your thoughts and excitment could have been better worded.

Fact of the matter is dude, Heatley did what he did and everyone in Ottawa gave him a new lease on life and a fair shake. He spit in our face, fact of the matter is he should have been thrown in jail and killed another human being.

Couldnt be happier to see this selfish prick get moved and maybe now we can start building a real team here in Ottawa.

I think in reality we either end up with Hodgson or Tuebert as the big prospect coming back.

N4L, you will not get any arguements from me on what he did and if it were anyone else he would have done the time. Your comment shows a lack of respect, in light of his actions. If he wants out because he can't get along with the coach then he needs to be sent packing. We don't need an elite player on this team who isn't willing to try and work through a new system and coach.

Oh, very much so, I have absolutly no respect for Heatley, nor should anyone else.

Heatley's career from this point on will be in constant question and I hope he has seen his better days. I really hope it was Spezza making him go, not the other way around.
