Heatley has no leverage, he isnt dealing with an idiot in Murray. Murray may say give me 15 teams that you will go to, if he doesnt, Murray will make his life hell in Ottawa.

Also, with The Olympics coming up Heatley can't afford to miss any time or have any trouble at all with anyone in the NHL. This came at absolutly perfect time for Ottawa.

There is no way Nashville would give us both Weber and their 1st round pick. Especially since Weber has what, 2 more years at 4.5 million per. The trade would pretty much have to be straight up.

When Heatley wanted out of Atlanta, the 3 teams he was willing to be dealt to were Ottawa, Vancouver and Calgary in that order.
Granted things may have changed though.

But if he doesn't come back to the NHL, which is likely what will happen, Murray loses out on getting a big piece in this trade. This deal could set the Sens up in a big way, but Murray has to play it right. He needs to be sure that every piece coming back is a sure bet. I would be really annoyed if he took such a gamble.

Weber for Heatley straight up would be diddling amazing. I would do that before you could say Heatley's a ****sucking loser.

Yashin sat out for more money, Heatley doesnt want to be in the city. Heatley wouldnt be able to lace up his skates in the NHL if he was still part of the Sens.

Heatley for Bieksa, Hodgson and their 1st seems pretty fair

I'm not mad at all because I saw this coming from a mile away. I am excitted for Ottawa, this has happend at a perfect time.

This is also huge for SPezza because he is going to go through exactly what he should have gone through earlier on in his career. He is going to struggle to get his points now, he is going to struggle to help the team win, and the team will struggle along with him. This is where he is going to learn to win and if he doesnt then he will just fade away slowly.

This is a new day for Ottawa and no one got killed this time before Heatley asked to be traded! Win win.
