I got tagged w/ 'DTR' which suits me just fine.

But y'all can call me Geritol if you want...referring to someone's previous post tagging me as "Dave The Old" LOL.

Actually those of us 40+ dudes who play pickup hockey at my rink refer to ourselves as 'Team Geritol'...as opposed to the 20somethings we call 'Team Red Bull'.

On the other hand, given the creativity of the group, I expect you will come up with something much more entertaining.

That would be me -- I called you DtO, but, hey, from the way you talk you're probably older than I am, and that *is* saying something.

By the way, when were you in Russia, and where? I hail from Moscow, myself, of course back in those days it was the USSR.

Hey Prags...I was in Moscow, on business mostly, at various times from 93-00 when I was posted to the region...I also lived in Prague during that time.

Na zdarovye!

I lived across the street and a block down from the American Embassy. I used to hang out with the American kids and once even had two of them up to our apartment (then we had a talk from the doorman, who must have had a talk from someone in the KGB) and it never happened again. We had our own "Summit Series" against the Americans.

I honestly don't know if I went to any games, I don't think so. Certainly not any international competition. My parents didn't have that kind of pull. The only thing I remember from the '72 series (watching on TV, of course) is Esposito stepping on the ice and falling on his a** because there was a flower there. I honestly did not remember who won the series. Of course the propaganda machine would have been working in reverse to stifle any dissemination of negative information, and I was only 11.

SpezDispenser = FKAH. You can thank Prages for the development of that one.

It started as TPFKAH which stands for The Poster Formerly Known as Heater. I think FKAH is way funnier. Just say it fast and you'll see. Smile
