Absolutely it's a long season but The questions about Huet have already started whether you like it or brother. I am on record as saying I think Crawford steals that job and runs with it anyways.

Or maybe Crawford is already that guy... I don't know much about him to be honest What's next for the Chicago Blackhawks? - Page 10 42360

There ya go Dave, Neimi got the start today. Thought Crawford was a little further up the depth chart but Neimi is by all accounts a decent goaltender.

I still see this team as a no hold barred favourite in the West and for the Cup. Huet can do it and it looks like Seabrook is putting all the tools in the toolbox as far as now some extra offense as well.

If I had a guess it would be that Chicago rents some insurance from the Islanders at the deadline and go in with two solid, if unspectacular, netminders.

Neimi is playing well, just a steady game. That's all that needs to be done. Huet wont be the starter by the playoffs IMO, better goaltenders in the system already.

SO for Neimi. Huet might have lost the job before everyone else's season has already started. Neimi looked solid in there and that's all they need. Hopefully the Finnish kid can run with it because that wouldnt only mean good things for The Hawks.

Team efforts are important but the one thing that can screw up a team is bad goaltending. Neimi was solid, good one the kid getting his first SO in his home town, which is amazing when you think about it.

Yup. The Nieminator was solid. The 'kid', by the way, is a 26 year old Finnish SMLiiga veteran. Very happy for him...

...and BTW an outstanding game by John Madden, who brings a whole new dimension to this team.

Biggest comeback in the eighty-three year history of the Blackhawks franchise as the Hawks come back from a five-nil deficit to beat the Flames 6-5 in OT. Incredible game. What's next for the Chicago Blackhawks? - Page 10 Hawks_22

I'll definitely look for the highlights on that one. Sounds like quite a game.

The highlights don't begin to tell the story...truly amazing.

If you can, watch the whole game replayed on NHL Gamecenter. As bad as they were--each and every one of them--in the first period, Chicago was brilliant for the rest of the game.

John Madden started it all...like the Champion he is.

The Hawks also tied the NHL record for biggest deficit overcome (source: Elias Sports Bureau/ESPN).

Similar to the Montreal come-back against NYR a couple of seasons ago.

Watched that one too (which was the record they tied BTW).

This was better.

Anyway...that aside, it's done, and this team has lots of work to do.

The euphoria is worth only two points, bottom line.

The work starts with figuring out what to do about their problems with focus (particularly the lapses into sloppy defensive coverage), and what looks like a major problem with Huet's confidence.

For five million and change, his play's been unacceptable. Plain and simple.
