GAME DAY #51: Senators @ Penguins - 7:00 pm - Tuesday, Feb 2 2016

After 50 games the Senators find themselves 3 points out of a playoff spot, with 4 teams in their way (plus the current wildcard teams hold some games in hand).  The last playoff spot belongs to tonight's opponent, the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Although this (3 points out) is nothing compared to last season, that type of run is one of those once-in-a-lifetime situations that, simply, will not happen again.  As the days get longer, the season gets shorter. The longer this teams remains on the outside-looking-in the more difficult it will be to recover.  As they say, tonight is the first game of the rest of your season.  Make it count.

Injury Tracker:
Kyle Turris - missed last 4 games, questionable for Tuesday
Marc Methot - missed last 5 games, questionable for Tuesday
Milan Michalek - missed last 2 games and is out indefinitely
Clarke MacArthur - missed last 46 games, officially more than half the season
Chris Phillips - missed the last 82 games (plus the playoffs)

Sens had a late practice today at 5 PM EST.

Turris did NOT practice and looks like he will miss yet another game. Yikes.

Methot however looks ready.

Even when he's not producing turris is a big part of this team. Hard to replace.

Maybe my French is a bit rusty but I interpreted that as "#Sens undertake the remainder of the season without Kyle Turris".   Hopefully he really meant to say "#Sens begin second half without Kyle Turris".

EDIT: The actual title of the article linked in the tweet is "Un retour au boulot sans Turris" (A return to work without Turris).

Yeah, he just means they don't have Turris for this game.
