That's probably the longest shootout I've ever seen start-to-finish. Wasn't that exciting. A 10-round shootout ends 2-1. It's like a slam-dunk contest for a grade-5 basketball team, with a regulation basket. Still, kept the Jets grounded in Toronto for an extra 10-15 minutes. Let them enjoy the win, celebrate a bit. Don't worry, the next game's not for a few hours yet.

Sens facing the 3rd seed. Interesting. All the teams below us lost -- Toronto, New Jersey, Colorado. Two of them had the decency of losing in regulation. Most importantly, the Sens got 4 more points between them and the 9th place team.

I'll say it again -- it's not that I don't think this particular player does not deserve it, but he's had less than two full seasons' worth of games in the NHL and he is getting a long-term, high-end-salary contract. I miss that 2nd contract -- remember those?

Subban is gonna make 7M next year. What do you prefer, that or 5.5M for 6 years?
