All in all, a great season of development me thinks for Lehner Cheers

A buddy has been calling him "Boy Wonder" for about 3 months now.. and I've finally clued into why. I figured it was just cause he thought he was so good, and didn't make the leap to that Robin.

Could be the start of a nick name...The Boy Wonder, think of the mask possibilities...

Dash, get on that will you...

Ha, that's pretty neat.

I wonder what fans now think of the Vermette trade for Leclaire + that 2nd round pick...turned into Lehner.

I would also like to see Daugavins with the O-Sens next year.
Daugavins-Z Smith-Condra -- not too bad a line if I say so myself.

Do you think Keller has a shot?

No, not Keller I don't think. He got knocked off the puck every time he got near it and isn't very good defensively - even for the AHL. Too bad, but he can't pass some of the other prospects in line - especially after this draft. Nice shot though - as we saw last night!

A quote from Lehner as shown in the Bingo newspaper:

"It's so good," Lehner said. "It's unbelievable. All you naysayers and critics, you can go hide somewhere. You can never take this away from me. I'm not saying I'm going to go play in the NHL. That's a long road ahead. But you can never take away from me that I'm a Calder Cup champion and that I got the MVP here."

Well said kid.... well said.

Compare these two players' stats!

If Benn is the rookie record holder then it's a bit of shenanigans. He played a full season in the NHL (all 82 games) that year, scoring 22 goals, then got shipped to the AHL as a "rookie".

Mind you, Butler played in the NHL as well, but 36 games.

I remember when my kid's House League peewee 'C' won the B-side pool at a tournament. They were singing that like nobody's business. Good times.

That's really painful to watch and even more painful to listen to. An iPhone is not a video camera.

Agreed -- I got through about 20 min. You can hardly hear what they are saying... I think I will wait for the team video.
All I know... Daugavins has quite the taatoo on his back...

There's a reason why Keller is making $105k in the AHL...he's unlikely to make the big show, IMO.

Great pics from the parade yesterday, especially 5 and 22. Daugavins is so funny.
