Can we start losing 6-5 in regulation then? I'd be okay with that, I like goals a lot.

Me too, give us something to cheer for at least.

May I also ask how we are not mathematically out of the playoffs yet? As I see it now, we have 37 points with 42 games to play which if we won even half of those games it would give us 42 points which would give us a grand total of 79 points on the season. I can safely bet that the Sens will not win half of the remaining games this season, and even if they did we still wouldn't make the playoffs. We basically need 55 points to get 92 points which is the norm for getting in, it doesn't mean that will be the case this season though, it could be more it could be less. The Habs needed 88 points to get in last year if I remember correctly.

What a disaster this season has been, it seems to be sinking in more and more with each passing day.

Maybe we could start pulling the goalie earlier. Like half way through the 1st period.

Even at 88 the Sens need 51 points in 42 games for a winning percentage of .607. It's do-able but not very likely.

The opposition goalie?

I was wondering the same...Mind you our PP is still pretty good if I'm not mistaken...I can't remember anymore it's been too long since we've played..

No, I think we'll be getting the same result by just leaving Elliott in the net. Sarcasm

How can we score more goals, though. The request was to still tank while scoring once in a while.

You know what would be funny (it wouldn't) is with our luck if we start cheering for them to lose, they'll start winning and end up finishing 9th in the East. Will the Sens play well for Clouston this weekend? - Page 3 489887 I don't know what to do anymore. I decided to start cheering for Philly as my "2nd team" just to add a little more excitement to the season and they ended up getting demolished right away. I swear, I'm starting to get a complex.

BTW, i haven`t been overly impressed with tavares and hedman, dushene was the steal in those 3 in my opinion... mind you they are all still very young.

Sign some ECHL lifers to run goalies. When the starter and back up are both injured whammo! Wink

Yeah, not sure about those two yet, but they're still babies in the NHL. Personally would have taken Duchene over Hedman, but there's that hindsight thing again. Smile

Wasn't the assessment at the time that Duchene was the most-NHL ready of those three? Long term will tell the tale...

I don't know about Taveres -- he's playing on a pretty bad team. Put him with really good players then you may get a true look as to how good he can be.

Exactly. He's playing with a bunch of AHL'ers, and is only 20 years old. With that being said, he's starting to heat up lately, and is putting up a decent amount of points. He'll be more insulated with talent as well when Okposo gets back from his shoulder injury.

I knew Duche would be the best player from that draft. Mind you he is perfectly happy the way things went. He's got the speed and he's added quite a bit of size since being drafted. And he's still got incredible skills.
