"Guess who's back... Karlsson's back... back again..."
The Ottawa Senators (13-7-3, 29 points, 1st in the Northeast) get back on the road to visit their divisional rival Boston Bruins (12-8-5, 29 points, 2nd in the Northeast) on Saturday night. The Sens are coming off a convincing win over the inconsistent Columbus Blue Jackets that saw Spezza tally his 2nd goal of the season. It was hopeful that Volchenkov would be back, but he'll be a game day decision. Karlsson has been called up and Brian Lee has been sent down in a surprise move by the Sens. The rumour mill got a boost with that news as this will burn Karlsson's first year of his ELC. This would suggest he'll be up with the club for the remainder of the season. Hopefully he can help out our struggling PP. The Bruins lost Lucic again to injury. He'll be gone 4 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Tim Thomas has been nursing an injured hand and has not played since Nov. 14th. Rask has been doing a fine job for the B's but we may see Thomas on Saturday if they want to give Rask a break. Word is Thomas is ready to return, so who knows. No word on whether or not Fisher will be in the line-up for the Sens. Fish and Volchie will be game day decisions. Elliott is expected to get the start again as he continues his strong play filling in for the injured Leclaire. Keep up the great work Brian. The Bruins will be playing their 2nd game in as many days, let's use that to our advantage. GO SENS GO!!!

This is definitely a winnable game. No Lucic, played last night, Thomas injured? Kuba to Karlsson, one-timer, deflected in front by Michalek.

SENS!

The Bruins went to OT and SO again this afternoon. I believe that's 4 of the last 5 that went beyond regulation. They must be some tired.

Thomas was on the roster for today's game, even though Rask was the starter. So it's probably going to be Thomas tomorrow night. Let's hope he's a little rusty. Keep shooting for that glove hand and tap it as you go by.

The Bs lose 2-1 in a shootout today. Meanwhile, Kpobasew gets a hat trick.

Be nice to get off to a good start on the road here, Boston played last night, Sens should be somewhat healthy up front, hopefully they get get the 2 points but 1 point on the road is never a bad outcome. (unless you have something like a 5-0 lead) Dont want Prags calling me out incase that actually happens.

I agree, this should be a winnable game. And hopefully Karlsson brings a spark with him. It would be nice if all the pieces could come together so that Fish and Volchie were in the line-up, but I think that's dreaming...

Not to be too picky, but the Bs played just this afternoon. And a point against Boston is almost a given -- 4 OT games in the last 5.

Nothing's a given these days... but if the effort is there... no reason to not get something.

Is Thomas out tomorrow for sure?? I think he's our only major issue when it comes to the Bruins

Rask played yesterday afternoon and Thomas was the backup. I'm pretty sure we'll see Thomas tonight.
