"Out vile Devil... back to hell with ya..."
The Ottawa Senators (7-4-2, 16 points, 2nd in the North East) welcome the New Jersey Devils (9-4-0, 18 points, 3rd in the Atlantic) to Scotiabank Place on Saturday night. The Devils will be playing their 2nd game in as many nights as they hosted the Islanders on Friday night. The Devils are sporting quite a few injured stars, but they are always a threat with Bordeur in net no matter how down and out they seem. They had a slow start to the season but seem to be finding their stride recently. Brodeur's play has improved significantly. The Sens welcomed Spezza back in style on Thursday night as he got his first goal of the season with the game winner in OT. Spezza's play has been fantastic this season but had yet to find the back of the net until then. The Sens' PP looked better and will hopefully continue to improve. Fisher in front of the net seemed to spark the PP... hopefully a sign of things to come. Let's send those Devils back to hell, where they belong. GO SENS GO!!!

Note: this GDT was put up before the Devils-Isles game has been played on Friday night, so Devils-related stats will not include that game.

Yikes, the Sins (pun intended)get nearly twice as many PIMs as the Devils. And we only have one guy -- Fisher -- who's close to averaging 3 shots per game? WTH?

Haha, so that Sens City campaign of a few years ago could make a resurfacing now, cause we are the Sinators.

Edit:

While Googling 'Sens City' to see if I could find that old thing, I came across a few funny sites:

http://www.sensandthecity.com/ - Alfie, Fisher, Spezza and Philly sitting around and talking about their personal lives.

S.E.N.S - City Of Sadness - iJigg.com - too many sad memories of playoff losses.

MySenCity.com - pretty self-explanatory, fan site

It was 0 degrees outside and the garage was around 5. Then I had the garage door open for a couple of hours and it got even colder.
