I don't think Kassian or Ferraro are top-10 picks.

I know a lot of people are big Kassian fans because they think he can bring the element to the team that Lucic brings to Boston, but I'm unconvinced. He's just not a fast enough skater. He's more like Neil with a bigger shot, which is nice, but not top-10 IMO. Then factor in that some have suspicions over his character, and I'm one of those guys who'd rather pursue the other names on this list.

Hopefully we win the lottery and can forget about all this.

okay hypothetical situation, we win the lottery, which boosts us to # 4, who do you pick? Duchene has slipped to # 4 on the ISS rankings, or do pick Schenn who is rated # 5? Personally, I hope that MPS is overlooked by the first 3, then nab him with # 4. I just don't think he will be there, it's possible he gets taken before Hedman IMHO.

We win the lottery, we are 5th, not 4th Wink

I would think about trading up - depending on the asking price obviously. Who has the 3rd overall at this moment? Atlanta?

Spezza for Little and their pick. :D: Although, waiting until the lottery is done might be a better way to go, but still, you're in for a potential franchise player with the pick and Little, who's on his way to stardom.

Or try to nab Tampa's pick.

Or both. Wink

Little and Duchene down the middle, Hedman on D. I love you

Unfortunately, Duchene's probably not NHL ready at this point. Although he is pretty athletic.

we have lofty goals, but you know, all that I am sure is entirely possible, warranted that Murray wants to pay the price.

I very seriously think teams like LA and Phoenix who don't know what to do with their prospects could trade down if we offer them the right package. DO IT BRYAN!

I was certain that asq had one, but well, there are so many talented players in that top 10, hard to chose.

Yeah, I'd kill to add Cowen. I don't think he'll be available at #9 though.

I would be schocked if other than Hedman, 7 teams will go with forwards.

If anyone's curious on how the draft lottery works, here's a good read. I was never really sure of the details...

Interesting read.
