Did I mention that I don't need to see Swiss Cheese any more? Ever?

Because I Diddle don't. Auld's very solid. Clear his Donkey hole salary and get me a puck moving D-man (obviously not using him as trade bait as he sucks like a franking vacuum).

Brian Lee needs to be recalled immediately. Sending him down was a stupid move. I agree that Picard is on the ice way too much. The shocker for me though, is Kuba. I swear he's off for 30 seconds then is right back on. He's gotta be approaching 30 mins a game. In other words, way too much.

Does he ever. Kuba's good though...I can't say I'm too pissed with him. He's pretty calm and seems to make the right play most of the time.

Send us Lee and Bell - and I'll get back to you soon if I want Bass and Smith at some point.

I feel like Diddle ing puking. We got so thoroughly outworked it should be a crime.

3-2. My arse. Should've been at LEAST 6-2. Bloody flattering score. Diddle.

They will need to do something. I am sure Melnyk is not happy and will be asking to see both Murray and Hartsburg. I have been to the last 2 home games and they were not sold out. The Sens were on a long running streak of sold out games and even with those 2 most recent games being 50% off they were still not able to sell out. That has got to hurt Melnyk's pocket book. If this play continues expect to see a couple of the key players traded. Any quesses who? Rolling Eyes

Yeah that was the most disheartening loss yet. I'm not unhappy with Kuba, actually I am pleasantly surprised. I'm really starting to wonder if the slack Spezza seems to get is affecting the team. There has to be a reason that this has carried over to this season despite the turnover we've had. Spezza, no matter how bad he plays, gets his minutes. Meanwhile, guys who are really trying like McAmmond (he's really surprised me, I'd almost written him off) get 5 mins a game. Spezza's NTC kicks in July 1, and if his game is not at another level by then, I'll drink a glass of my own piss if he is a Senator past that.

*sigh*. I'm so tired already....I don't even know what to say.

The trade bait are:

Picard (yeah frank it, he's trade bait), Gerber (boo), Vermette, Kuba (hey, if the right offer came around for a big time puck mover and they wanted him - see ya), Schubert.

I don't know...am I missing anyone from our vast array of Donkey? Boo..

Look at the lineup though. Spezza along with Heatley and Alfie are everything to this team. When they don't score look what happens. If you trade Spezza, who plays center? Fisher (no points), Vermette (1 goal), McAmmond (no).

If anything, I would move McAmmond up to Spezza and Alfie's line and pray that Fisher and Vermette or Fisher and Foligno, or Kelly and Winchester - whichever starts to pot goals with Alfie there.

I don't know. I'm very frustrated and for one of the first times in a long, long time I have no idea what to say or do.

I agree with you on Kuba because he is a UFA. If Murray was able to get something for him and at the rate he is going Kuba could become a commodity. Schubert and Vermette are others but i dont think Picard is going to be moved. He is still young and has upside.

If Kuba can keep up his scoring I think he could fetch us a decent prospect and 1st rounder.

I would be SUPER pissed if we trade Spezza. What good is an elite goalie when you play like that? I like Spezza, I like Heatley, I like Alfie, I like Volchenkov.

Everyone else...you're on watch Donkey holes.

Actually to be fair I like Foligno and I love Winchester. This kid patrols the boards with authority.

Trade Bait includes:
Vermette 2.8
Kelly 2.2
Fisher 4.2
A lot of money for little output.

Offensive d-man? With 33 shots after 2 periods vs. Toronto, they could use a defensive d-man. Phillips doesn't look right. I want Donovan up with Heatley and Spezza. Auld was good, but not great.

You're probably right about the hole Spezza creates. i'm just tired of the same old Dung from him.

I'd prefer to see Ruutu up with Spezza and Heater. Foligno-Fisher-Vermette, despite not scoring look good together. They cycle the puck well and have generated chances. These guys have to start converting though.

That's also because we took 4 straight minor penalties (all penalties as well) in the first. What did they expect to happen? Dammit.

I wouldn't move Kelly unless I absolutely had to. He's a checker and he's a PK specialist.

I would however field offers for Vermette.

Fisher...well, he's probably lucky he has a NMC this year.

Considering the number of shots Auld had to deal with, I thought he played well. As much as I like Fisher, he just hasn't been a key guy for the last year or two. I am thinking it is curtain time for Vermette too. Sure Murray signed him to a low $ amount but if he isn't producing it looks like we got the short end of that deal...!!! I am not sure what to offer up anymore. Hartsburg looked extremely frustrated and even more so when Schubert got that penalty. I can see Schubie being gone very soon.

By the end of this (good or bad), I think we'll all see that Spezza, Heatley and Alfie aren't the problems, they're the solutions. Teams NEED to have secondary guys that put pucks in the net. Every other team does, this team does not. The pressure on these guys is just awesome right now. Score or we lose.

Wow...the problem (beyond the D) is the fact that we get the odd goals from like..Ruutu, Neil, McAmmond, Donovan, but not enough to steady the offense or the D.

Time to move Fisher to wing whether he's 'comfortable' or not. Frank you man, get on the franking wing and like it. WAAAAY too much responsibility for you right now as a center. Way too much. Get on the wing, go north/south, retrieve pucks for the skilled players and get your arse in front of the net. You're franking useless to me as a center. If I wanted someone with grit and desire, I'd call up Bass for 500K.

As Schubert got into the flow of the game, I thought he was one of the (semi)bright spots. I saw him not skate hard enough a couple of times, but the constant benching isn't going to help him get into the flow of the game anytime soon.

I suspect kelly would go before Vermette. Vermette has a better upside to scoring goals than Kelly. Moving kelly also frees us of his 4 years of 2.2. At least Vermette is shorter.

Jeff Glass saved 32 shots, but the Bingo Sens lost 3-2. Bell scored his 2nd of the year from Hennesy and Shannon.

Glass is a lot better than I had given him credit for, he's a really solid tender.

How close did I come to throwing something out the window on the 3rd goal...pretty close I believe.
