So who is going to fall to the Sens at #10? A few potential wildcard things to consider:
- Columbus loves their off-the-board picks and seem to like the KHL. Could they reach for Svechkov (see Chinakhov in 2020)? They need a #1 center to build around after losing PLD and he's probably the truest #1 center behind Beniers.
- Detroit also likes their off-the-board picks. They're building around Larkin, Zadina, Raymond, Lucas, and Seider and may be inclined to draft a RW or a LHD
- Anaheim has a future #1C in Zegras but may gravitate towards a stud d-man to play with Drysdale. With Edvison available, do they pass up on a future Pronger-Neidermeyer type pairing?
- Vancouver has their 1C in Pettersoon, 2C in Horvat, 1 RW in Boeser, and 1D in Hughes, and G in DiPietro. They're thin at LW and maybe Eklund, a fellow Swede, will be available.
- LA is set at forward and have a some depth at LHD. They've been in the market for a RHD for a while and are set in nets with Peterson.
1. Buffalo - Powers
2. Seattle - Beniers
3. Anaheim - Edvinson
4. New Jersey Devils - Hughes
5. Columbus - Johnson
6. Detroit - Guenther
7. San Jose - Wallstedt
8. Los Angeles - Clarke
9. Vancouver - Eklund
10. Ottawa - ??
This leaves Cossa (G), McTavish (C), Lucius (C), Sillinger (C), Coronato (RW), Lysell (RW), Svheckhov (C).
Who do you take?
