Seeing some of the articles out there recently, I’d be happy with Brad Shaw for head coach. Hoping the jackets lose this round so he can be interviewed quickly.

Wish granted.

17-19th pick overall. And with Panarin/Bob likely gone, I can't see how CBJ doesn't offer Duchene a big contract securing another 1st rd pick.

Not sure if the Sens try to move up. Within the 17-19 range: Ryan Suzuki, Connor McMichael, Moritz Seider (who I think they end up taking - big RHD)

Karlsson -2 last night. On the ice for 3 goals against. Not sure if SJ is loving or loathing him right now. I expect to see him sign with NYR next season.

Yeah, I posted that in the playoff area. I don't see how Duchene and Columbus don't have mutual interest.

And yeah, I agree, Karlsson to the Rangers makes sense.

Ottawa would be smart to make a run at Bobrovski and Panaren to accelerate the rebuild.

They won’t even play in Columbus, why on earth would they accept Ottawa? Those two are sun or big city bound.

If he can’t fix our D, I don’t know who is available that could.

This is getting ridiculous. Mass exodus continues. I don’t even care that one of them (COO) was a complete tool.

I actually don’t care Ruszkowski didn’t actually do anything great in the short time he was here. Even as a PR guy, he did a half assed job. Nothing spectacular.

If anything, this team needs a better front office, not just some people picked because they like the Sens.
For what it’s worth, the people brought in iknow little or nothing about but sometimes internal promotion actually reinforces company cultures a positive way.

I only heard about Ruzkowski. Who else left?

Nic was brought on to bolster the finances for the LeBreton development. They'll need a different set of skills in the next COO.

I didn't hear about anyone else leaving...but there were a couple other hires and internal promotions.  Significant changes are required, but the one change that matters the most is the owner.

the only positions that really matter for the hockey are owner, GM, coach, POHO if there is one one day. I can't name any random business executives on my other favourite sports teams.

Did anyone listen to the Brad Shaw interview?

I did. He has not been approached by the Sens but expressed that he was definitely interested in the opportunity. It sounded like he was answering interview questions (ie: spoke to how he is a good teacher, good with young teams, etc). I suspect the Sens will be in touch now that Clb has been eliminated. Seems like he would be a good hire.

Head Coach - Brad Smith
Asst. Coach - Jacques Martin (Defence specialist)
Special Teams - Chris Kelly

I'd like to see Crawford retained as an assistant but doubt that happens.

Also think Richardson would be an excellent assistant but worry with Kelly, Martin, and Richardson that the team would be way too defensive minded.

It’s not impossible but you have to wonder if Martin leaves Pittsburgh for the exact same job in Ottawa with probably lower pay.
I feel like Martin is due for a HC job in the NHL, if it’s not in Ottawa it might be in Buffalo.

I wish we could have Crawford and Martin. I want a better defensive system, but I quite liked Crawford and I never loved Martin. Meh...whatever's the cheapest is what we'll get. Some dude from some league we've never heard of making 20K a year most likely.

Does anyone else have their opinion at 0% Duchene re-signs with Columbus? I’m 99% sure it will be Nashville.

Not sure what to think when it comes to him.
