TRADE DEADLINE BONANZA 2019!

Stone will be traded. The money is there(the bonus aren’t) but I’m starting to think Stone just plainly doesn’t want to play for Ottawa(Melnyk). I do not blame him. Sell the team Donkey Chapeau!

We literally have no clue what money or bonuses have been offered. Let’s stop speculating and wait until something actually happens. There has been no information leaked about this situation for good reason

Anything from Garrioch I take with a grain of salt. He had become a mouthpiece for the management. But others have also mentioned the increased push (at the same time as saying Duchene is being shipped around). I'm cautiously optimistic. I just hope they trade Dzingel. He's Hoffman with a smile. Zero defensive awareness.

Replace Ceci with a decent top four RHD, replace Lajoie with Wolanin. Jaros-Boro as your third pairing with Lajoie/Harpur as the spares (Harpur had played the right side). Replacing Duchene will be very hard. Brown may do it eventually but unless he is great at faceoffs they will spend most of their energy chasing the puck. With Ceci out and others pushed down the defensive side of the game becomes immediately better. Absolutely have to keep Stone, though.

Finally sounds as if they're gonna sit Duchene. I wonder why not Stone...

Well, they made a "serious" offer to Stone, and there were a couple people "reporting" that this could get done...so I'm assuming the Sens think they have a shot at resigning Stone, whereas Duchene is as good as gone.

I believe today is D-Day (Duchene day). Let the first domino drop.

I haven't been paying too much attention to all the rumours...who are the suitors for Duchene? I heard the Isles and Nashville...there must be a bunch more.

I don’t see the isles parting ways with both first rounders from last year and their first this year which is what I’d want from them.
They’re gonna want he resigns for that return too

Depends what his price is. If there's a chance he signs at a decent contract then might as well play him. He's not worth a Dung ton on trade market.

To play devil's advocate, why would Dzingel take a penny less than 5 million knowing he's due to be a UFA. And then, why would Ottawa even entertain paying him that for more than 1 second?

Dzingel is actually worth quite a bit on the trade market because of his low cap hit. Teams pressed against the cap can afford to take him on without having to move money from their current payroll

Ditto. I'd rather not pay him 5 mil though.

Dzingel is worth a 2nd and a mid-level prospect IMO
