2018 NHL Entry Draft

If we pick 2nd and Dahlin is gone, I hope we take Svechnikov at this point too. That’s not the point. Saturday can’t come soon enough. I want to do my mock.

I think Boqvist got injured in the 1st period. I haven’t seen him on the bench or ice since then. I hope it’s not serious.

Wahlstrom just scored and has now scored in all 6 games this tourney. If we fall to 5th, ya never know.

USA vs Finland for gold again tomorrow at 10:30am for those that want another chance to scout some of the 1st round talents like Wahlstrom, Farabee, Wilde, Samuelsson, Kupari and Kotkaniemi.

How I expect the names to be called tonight:
15 - Florida
14 - St. Louis
13 - Dallas
12 - Islanders (through Calgary)
11 - Carolina
10 - Islanders 
9 - Edmonton
This is where it gets tricky because I’ve surmised 3 of the Islanders, Rangers, Detroit amd Chicago will win the three lotteries, but here goes
8 - Chicago
7 - Detroit
6 - Montreal
5 - Arizona
4 - Ottawa
3 - Buffalo
2 - Vancouver (funny feeling about them over the last couple days)
1 - Rangers

Brutal. Carolina, Montreal and Buffalo have won the lotteries.

Cussing garbage. Bet we draft thatchuk. Wont be a dominant player.

Where are we at?

Oh, 4th. Nice player coming no matter what. Pretty much there are 5 elite level players apparently if you believe people, so at least we get a big one.

It will interesting to see what Ottawa will do regarding takin Tkachuk or Wahlstrom or figuring out who they think is the second best Dman in the draft. To my mock I go.

To me, 4th was and is the hardest place to draft in 2018. Ottawa has their work cut out for them.

I'd think about Boqvist personally, although we all see that Tkachuck is the kind of player needed in playoffs. Interesting pick. Plus Montreal is legitimately challenged and will probably pick someone stupid or trade the pick for chara.

Tbh I think the Sens could go with Boqvist. I’d be happy with that at 4.

Or this may be the year the Sens can actually trade down a couple of spots if the return is something very intriguing.

By the sounds of Dorion it sounds like they will go after a forward that are ranked in the top 5. So likely no Boqvist. They best resign Kalrsson for diddles sake.

It sucks that Dahlin will be in the division, but at least it will be for Buffalo and not Montreal. Buffalo has a decent young group there if they can manage to not F it up. I'm still not sold on Eichel as a franchise guy, but we'll see. I think there might be attitude issues.

Anyway, the Sens have lots of great prospects to pick from at #4, but inside the top 3 would've been so much nicer. Dung.
