We've all had our moments. And, for the record, the "past poster" you had trouble with seemed incapable of civility, so that's on him.

This sucks. The Barrie Colts are trying to keep Svechnikov out of the Under-18’s citing a shoulder injury. That would really suck for many reasons. I’ve watched Svechnikov many times this season in Barrie and once in Hamilton, but what I really want to see is for the first time, if he can actually dominate against his elite peers in International competition. He has been less than impressive during top International competition to date. Also, the wrist injury at the start of this year may have been a freak accident l, but it was still a hockey play and now he has an apparent shoulder injury as well. Are injuries going to common with him going forward?

Meh, I'm not sure how much stock can be placed in these short tournaments, especially the U18s. The U20s are a better indicator.

I don’t think anyone will disagree that the U20s is the best indicator and I  certainly never said the contrary. But the U18’s can’t be dismissed as it is the last chance for some of those kids to improve their draft position on the ice. I’m watching, judging and liking just like NHL scouts. Wahlstrom just did Wahlstrom things.

They just said the score right now is the first time Canada has had a lead in a game since 2013. What?

Jack Hughes at this U18 is almost making me want to trade Karlsson and Hoffman and give Colorado this years pick.

Yupp. Ottawa should be trying to get a 2nd pick in the top 10. Lots of talent in this year's draft.

Farabee continues to rise for me even though I’m not a big fan of drafting two-way, high IQ guys super early. He’s just very good.

Is anyone watching this Canada/Sweden game right now? Tight and fast. 1-1 after 2. Boqvist is dangerous every shift and opened the scoring in the 1st with a beauty. I can see us drafting him at 4. We’d be lucky to get him at 5 if we both fall that far. 4 more days until we find out our position at least.

I want to trade Pittsburgh’s 1st and whoever to move up and draft Farabee as well. That kid is a hired gun. As it stands right now, Edmonton and the Rangers have the picks where I expect Farabee to go. Both good trading partners for us.

^^ Couldn't agree more
Ceci and Hoffman trade options for sure in EDM.
Not sure what we have that the Rags would want though.

2-1 Canada, two minutes left. Canada just took a penalty.

I will be happy with Boqvist if we draft 4rth or lower. We need that type of Dman.

My thoughts include, If we get Dahlin, I would actually trade Ceci and Pittsburgh’s 1st (Washington has to beat Pittsburgh to entice EDM) for Edmonton’s pick (if they stay in Farabee range. Then, go sign Luke Schenn and we have
Chabot Karlsson
Dahlin Schenn
Wolanin Wideman
Boro Harpur
