I don't give a crap about Dahlen. Burrows is a piece of Sh!t and to sign him to an extension is ridiculous. If it's 2 x 2.5 I will find Dorian and piss on his car.

I think dahlem was a nice prospects but I still don't buy into all the hype that's on him. Potential was high but I think the bust factor is fairly high as well. He's the type of player we will have to see play in NA to really get an impression.
We have a similar type player In Perron.

Umm, are you thinking of Dahlin? Dahlen is a forward.

A lot of people who watch Vancouver games say we'll like this. And with that said, I bet Dorion saw some major flaws in Dahlen's game.

Heck I saw flaws in his play! I'm sure there is flaws. I seriously think he could bust also.

Hes a high yield, high bust probability I think. And until he plays in NA on smaller ice against better players(hes not playing in he top league) then I think we didn't really know what we had.

The more I think about this trade the less I dislike it. We needed a guy that could play on the third line on the right side and we likely have one for the next few years.

The only part I dislike is that I felt that maybe he'd be the piece replacing white Ina deal for duchene.
That piece is gone now.

I heard dorion say he's got 4-5 pieces in prospects he says we wouldn't part with.
I guess it's fair to say chabot, white and brown are the first three, so is it chlapik in fourth and who's possibly 5th? I can't imagine Englund is that 5th piece?

I liked the Phaneuf trade right away. Check out Burrows history. Cheap shots inappropriate trash talk, I forget whether it was race or sexual orientation, throwing punches from the bench, lots of diving.

Hey, I agree, I'm not a fan. From most accounts, he's not as bad as he used to be in that regard, and he can still put up some points.

The team should be better with him for sure. If he's cleaned up his act that would be nice. I still better not hear a 2 x 2.5 extension tomorrow.

That would be a great extension. That's a cheap price for what he will bring in terms of leadership and effectiveness for bottom lines.

i hope he's still a punk, we need that on our team. He has passion and intensity that we need. If fans want to jump ship because an average prospect was traded for a good role player, then so be it. Bye.

Yes we could replace him with the 2nd round pick....oh wait....don't have one for the next two seasons.  

Maybe fans are a bit more emotional and that won't go away until Burrows starts playing.  I think he'll be solid as a rental but signing him to 2 years + giving up a prospect on the rise is not good.  Dahlen could have been used for a better return IMO

Disagree. People are overrating dahlen. He isn't a top prospect or anything.

I don't think people understand value.

I quite like that we have him for another 2 years. Will make us harder to play against. 2.5 mill is ok if he can still score 15 a year.

If you thought Dorion made a rookie move by trading for Burrows as a rental...well then good news: we signed him to a 2-year extension prior to the deal!  So yeah he needs to be exposed unless I'm missing something

Chris Neil signed for four years at 2M per until 12/13 and burrows is much much bette

He's a fourth liner. 2.5 is way too much
