Doesn't sound like the sens will do anything today.

It's a slow day all around.
I caught a bit of trade center at around 9 and it was a bit sad to look at. They had a few TV stars come in and it was badly scripted.... Urghhhh...

Vanek for a 3rd and a prospect. Relax. We're pretty much out of picks, and I think Dorion will think twice about trading another prospect.

Now, a good GM will get Duclair for Lazar... or Lazar + something insignificant (Bailey?)

I bet Lazar goes for a 2nd, but this is normally what the deadline is like now. Tradecentre has actually been pretty good. The Letterkenney guys have been funny.

Dorion is not looking for another player for Lazar. Already has second round pick and wants a first. If the pick is from the Oilers, have to keep in mind that they are likely playing Anaheim in the first round. So around 15-18 pick on whatever round. Given that this is a bad draft year, is that really with it? Lazar really isn't as bad as good stats suggest. He needs to play with better linemates than Neil and Kelly, and he would get that chance next year. At worst, we end up moving him for a late round pick later. At best he plays much closer to original expectations and either becomes a valuable contributor or improves his trade value.

I thought it was laughable that he was considered good enough to be in an NHL lineup for most of his 176 games. But what do I know?

Hard to imagine a world where Vegas would take Lazar over Wideman, but I suppose it's possible.
